How do you select photographers and videographers for the website?

Our photographers and videographers are carefully reviewed and vetted by a team of photography professionals. Our goal with this process is to make sure they are fully qualified in the area of expertise they have listed. ViewShaper photographers and videographers are experienced, reliable, legitimate, and have the passion of what they do.

What kind of photos and videos can you do?

We offer all kinds of photography and videography. Whether you’re looking for weddings, parties, baby, real estate, graduations, pets, boudoir, commercial, food, anniversaries, sports, or something else we have the right professional to meet your needs. If you have a specific subject matter that is not listed during the booking process feel free to contact us and we’ll work to match you with the right professional.

Do you have a studio where we can shoot?

We don’t have a studio but some of our photographers and videographers do. In the booking process, you can narrow your options by using the filters. If you check the “studio” box, you’ll have access to all the professionals who have access to shoot in a studio.

What cities do you serve?

ViewShaper has a rapidly growing network from photographers and videographers throughout the United States. If you aren’t matched with a photographer or a videographer in your area through our booking system please send us an email and we’ll assist you in finding a local match.

Who owns the pictures/videos’ copyright?

Like all photography or videography projects, the photographer/videographer owns the copyright but you have the right to use, edit and post the images for both personal and commercial use. Further details are available in our Terms of Service section.

What are your operating hours?

You can book a photographer or videographer 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. You will be matched with a photographer or videographer based on your needs and their availability. If you have trouble matching with a photographer or videographer at a specific time please contact us.

About our offers and prices

How much does it cost for shooting with ViewShaper?

Each photographer and videographer is free to set their own hourly rate. The price of “on-demand” photography and videography services is based on your project’s details. Submit a brief online and our team of local photographers or videographers will return detailed quotes for you to choose your favorite.

How many photos do I get?

The number of pictures delivered varies according to the type of project you have chosen. An “instant photographer” can deliver up to 30 edited photos per hour of shooting. If you need more photos per hour of shooting, send a brief through the “on-demand” booking process.

Does the photographer edit my photos?

Our photographers work with different post editing softwares to edit and perfect your pictures. Most of the time they will edit the exposure, contrast, temperature, size, and sharpness to make your pictures even more beautiful. Your specific photographer will be able to give you more insight depending on your project and the look you’re trying to achieve. You can ask for advanced post-editing abilities by submitting a detailed brief to our professionals through the “on-demand” process.

About the booking process

For how long should I book my photographer/videographer?

It all depends on your needs. If you need any advice on the duration of your shooting don’t hesitate to contact our team of experts who can talk through your project and what they expect you’ll need to achieve the results you want.

Can I choose the photographer/videographer I want?

Our algorithm will show you all the photographers and videographers of our database that are available based on your requirements (time, location, category, etc). For “on-demand” photo and video projects, you will have the ability to select the one you prefer based on the quote and vision they send you.

How can I compare the photographers or videographers and choose the one I want?

During the booking process, you’ll have access to the photographers/videographers’ portfolios who match your requirements. Portfolios are a selection of their work that represent their style and talent. If you have special requirements for a project you can submit an “on-demand” request. Also, feel free to email our team who will work to find you the most appropriate photographer/videographer.

Can I hire multiple photographers/videographers?

You can schedule one “instant” photographer/videographer at a time when making your booking online. However, you can use the “on-demand” request if you require more than one photographer/videographer at your event. Feel free to email our team if you have additional needs or want to talk through requirements to a specific project.

What if there is no photographer/videographer near me?

If you can’t find a photographer or a videographer in your area through our booking system please send us an email and our team will do everything they can to find one for your project.

Do you offer video services?

Yes, we do offer video services. The booking process is slightly different than that of our “instant” photographers. For video services, please fill out the online brief of your project and we will send your request to the local videographers that our algorithm determines can meet your needs. These videographers will submit a budget proposal and thoughts on the project for you to review and select from.

How do billing and payment work?

Payment is due at the end of the booking process. In order to confirm the booking a debit card, credit card or PayPal account must be entered and authorized. All payments are securely processed by PayPal.

What do I have to do after the booking process?

You will receive a confirmation email summarizing the details of your booking which includes the date and time of your shooting. You will also be able to directly connect with your photographer/videographer via our email platform to make sure you’re aligned on the styling and goals, set shoot logistics, and arrange arrival details.

About canceling, rescheduling or extending

Can I cancel my booking?

You can cancel your booking with at least 24-hours notice for photography services or 72-hours notice for videography services prior to the start time of your photo/video session. In the case of cancellation, ViewShaper will automatically waive the service fee but will apply a $20 cancellation penalty fee to the payment method used in the original transaction.

Each photographer/videographer has their own cancellation policy (flexible, moderate or strict). ViewShaper photographers and videographers can choose which cancellation policies to offer to users, and users can review them before booking.

Can I reschedule my booking?

If you’d like to make a change to a confirmed booking, you can submit a change request to your photographer/videographer. The only changes you are allowed to do concern the length and the date/time of your shooting.

Can I extend my shooting?

If your photographer is available you can extend your shooting. Once you confirm with the photographer through your ViewShaper profile in the ‘Upcoming shootings (if made before the shooting) or ‘Ongoing shootings (if made during the shooting) and click on change/extend shooting - Select the number of hours and confirm. The photographer will also need to confirm this before the change can be processed.

About the shoot

How do I contact my photographer/videographer?

You can communicate with your photographer or videographer via our email platform. If it takes them too long to respond, email our team and we will follow up with them.

Can we take pictures at different locations?

You are welcome to ask your photographer or videographer to take pictures in different locations within walking distance of your original meeting spot. If you are interested in taking photos at different, further apart locations, please make sure to specify it in an “on-demand” request. ViewShaper does not compensate for travel expenses.

How do I know that the photographer/videographer will show up?

After you are matched to a photographer or videographer you will be connected with them via the ViewShaper emailing system to plan logistics and confirm your shoot plan. If you do not hear from your photographer 24 hours before your scheduled shoot let us know so we can confirm or schedule a replacement.

About the photos/videos

How long will it take to receive my pictures/videos?

You should receive an email within 48 hours of your shoot that contains a link to your digital photo album. Specific photos and videos delivery timelines will vary depending on your project. During the booking process for on-demand services, the professional gives you an estimation of the delivery time based on the details you provided.

How many photos will my photographer take and deliver?

The number of pictures taken and delivered varies according to the type of session you have chosen. An “instant photographer” can deliver up to 30 edited photos per hour of shooting. You can request a specific number of photos by using the “on-demand” booking process.

Are all photos high resolution? And what size?

All photographs taken will be in high resolution. We want you to be able to do whatever you like with them – so we ensure all images are provided in a high-resolution format. Please review the exact sizing needs with your photographer beforehand.
